Excellent read. Having read the entire series as a teenager searching for identity, it served to shape my independence and confidence. The Jalav series contrasts the issue of women in a female dominated society with women in a male dominated society and all it's primitive pitfalls. In the end, proving how strong women really are.
Part of the Jalav series. Jalav is a warrior queen like Xena on TV, that periodically finds herself captured and forced to be a sex slave
really strong female character that overcomes adversity and remains true to herself. I got really involved her struggles and her victories. ... excellent read
Bad ass Herroin!!
I really, really liked Aysayn, Mehrayn and Chaldrin. They are excellent additions to this sereis. Jalav is once again an amazingly strong and dignified character who does not let circumstances dictate whether she is free or slave. The story is again well written and while parts were predictable, I didn't mind simply because the story was told so well.
Five stars for this series...I love the themes is loyalty and duty. I like it because the main character is a warrior WOMAN...and she has a lot to say about the world dominated by men. Swords,sorcery,sex,revenge...it's all here...and somewhere in there is a love story. This was so different .
